| Why should I have a website for my art? |
This is your chance to show your art to the World. You have a Gallery displaying your work anywhere, any time. Get exposure you could not possibly get any other way.

| What are the differences among the three pricing options? |
The Silver or Basic level site contains up to 40 images. The Gold or Large site can display up to 80 images and the Platinum site, up to 150. Each image is presented as both a thumbnail and an enlargement. All sites will contain a Home page, a section for your work, a resume if you wish, and a contact page. For an additional fee, more pages can be added, such as an Artist's Statement, Exhibition Schedule, etc.

| What do I need to do to prepare for getting a website? |
You will need to assemble digital photos of your work. Think through how you want them organized on your website, whether by subject, media or year. Get your resume updated and decide how you want to be contacted (email, phone, regular mail, etc.). Think of a domain name you like and try to have a back-up name if your first choice is not available. Lastly, think about any design ideas you may have, such as colors you want used, the art you want on your home page, and other websites you have seen that you like.

| Can I have email on my site? |
Yes, and we recommend it. People on the Internet are used to communicating this way, so we urge you to have email on your site. You can use an existing email account or we can create one for you using your new domain name.

| How do I send my art to you? |
Digital images can be emailed or put on CD or DVD and sent via regular mail, UPS, FedEx, etc. If you do not have digital images, we can scan photographs (or you can have them scanned).

| Are there any other costs to getting a website? |
Yes. Every website has two annual costs: a domain name and a host. The domain name is your web address (also known as the URL) such as www.YourArt.com. It costs $20/yr. The host is the company that keeps your website files linked permanently to the Internet. It is like telephone service. Hosting costs $120/yr.

| How will people find my art on the Internet? |
There are many ways to get "traffic" to your website. First, you promote it offline any time you can. Put the website on your business cards. Add it to your emails. Put it on any correspondence or in any articles about you. Then, there are the online ways of getting traffic. See our Search Engine Optimization section to learn more about this important area.

| Can I sell my art on line? |
Yes, if you wish, we can set up e-commerce for your art. You can sell your original art or reproductions. There is an additional cost of for adding e-commerce to a website. For more information, see our E-Commerce section.

| Will Nexxite continue to maintain my website after it is launched? |
Yes, we continue to support your website after it is launched. Artists always have new work to add and we are happy to update your site. We charge for our time to do this, but typically once the site is built, it is quite inexpensive to add work or make other changes.
