Featured Client – Chris Kole Couture

Nexxiting News 10-3 Crisada

An inspired designer, Chris Kole has established a reputation for creating beautiful women’s clothing lines. Working with his associate Fikre Ayele, the Chris Kole label has become one of the most respected names in the ready-to-wear and custom evening and special occasion market. His client list is a veritable who’s who of American society and includes individuals as diverse as Hillary Clinton, legendary jazz singer Nancy Wilson, celebrity actress Ali Landry, TV personality Mary Hart, socialite Melania Knauss-Trump and Grammy award winner Jill Scott.

In addition to his couture line, Chris introduced “The Cotton Bride”, his new bridal collection using cotton, and other natural fabrics. Following classic couture design and workmanship principles, The Cotton Bride was the first bridal collection of its kind and was immediately heralded as one of the most exciting new lines in the bridal market.

All garments in the Chris Kole Couture and The Cotton Bride collections are made by hand at the company’s main design studios in New York and can be ordered in North America through Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and specialty boutiques throughout the United States and Canada.

The New Nexxite

I don’t imagine any of you could possibly be as excited as we are about the utter transformation that Nexxite has undergone. Our team has been working all Summer and into the Fall to build our new state-of-the-art website (www.nexxite.com). It has all the bells and whistles that today’s Internet user expects. And it is fully responsive, so it looks great on any device.

But as excited as we feel about our new website, we are even more proud of the new direction Nexxite has taken. We wanted to show that we can create a brand. So we started with ourselves. We have unified our website, with new colors, fonts and graphics, a new logo, and an enhanced social media presence, Even our sister company Nexxite Services (www.nexxiteservices.com) has come along for the ride. If you look at our new logo, you see the “n” and the two lines above it. Together, these three elements represent the different screen sizes out there. Our logo and our website and taglines present the message that your website will look great on phones, tablets and desktops, and you can “reach everyone, anywhere.”

We did it for Nexxite and we can do it for you. If you are interested in rebranding your business by modernizing and unifying your image, talk with us.

Social Media Marketing

Social media is all the rage these days. Everywhere you look people are sharing on Facebook, blogging, tweeting, posting photos on Pinterest, Stumbing Upon, Tumbling, and getting Linked In. Why? Is it just a way of socializing with the world? Or is there a practical, business application to all this Internet frenzy?

We think there is. Every business has a constituency, a community of interested parties, people who want to know about your field. It is at this group that social media marketing is aimed. This is the group in which you want to create a buzz about your business, your art, your law firm, or your picture frames. Whatever you are selling or showing, there is a group of people out there who want to talk about it. And who better to raise the subject and stimulate their interest than you? After all, nobody knows your field better than you do. You are the authority. You have interesting things to say that your constituents want to hear about and discuss.

We will talk in more depth about this subject in future mailings, but for now, it is enough to say we are doing it and we can help you grow this way.

Nexxite is evolving

We are growing and changing… from a company that built and maintained traditional websites to one focused on marketing and exciting new technology. Of course we still build websites, but now we are helping our clients in two important new ways:

  • Expanding their markets using social media
  • Building websites that work beautifully on all devices

What’s New Around Here?

We have been going like gangbusters the past six months, expanding in several directions at once. Our two biggest new areas are social media marketing and responsive design technology.

Our new Social Media Specialist, Harmony Keeney, has been handling our growing Social Media practice. We have responded to the ever-increasing inquiries from our clients about why and how to use these outlets. She can make sense of it for you. And she’ll help you decide the best answer for you. Not everything is for everyone. Who has the time? So she will strategize with you about your best choices, those that you can realistically do and most benefit from. Whether it’s a Facebook page, a Twitter account, a blog or LinkedIn, or a way to manage all four from a single platform, Harmony can set you up and get you going. We are seeing the rapid rise of Pinterest, Scoop. It, StumbleUpon and many more. Let us help figure out what is right for you.

I read recently that in as little as two years, tablet computers will outsell both desktop computers and smart phones. Regardless of whether that comes to pass, your website had better look good on tablets, and on smart phones as well. It is no longer enough to design a nice website that looks good only on the desktop. Responsive web design (RWD) is a set of tools we use to create websites that function well on all devices. No more need to pinch and squeeze your smart phone screen to read it. No more searching for a phone number of a web site you want to contact from your cell phone. We are building just about all our new websites this way. It is the way of the future.

New Staff

We are pleased to announce that Harmony Keeney has joined the Nexxite as an Intern. A talented and successful jazz singer, Harmony is seeking to develop her web skills by learning and working with us.

A quick study, she is already gaining a grasp of the intricacies of Social Media Marketing. We think her growing expertise with Facebook, Twitter and other online venues will be of great value to our present and future clients.
